The Role:

The Property Administrator will be the primary business support for the Affordable Housing Team. You will manage tenancy applications, accounts payable, landlord enquiries and inspections appointments. You will use your creative flair to create advertising on the real estate websites. This is a small dynamic team providing affordable housing for moderate to low income households.

Your Skills:

You will demonstrate your exceptional administration skills, be able to work in a fast paced environment, be organised in nature, have exceptional attention to detail and be able to think on your feet.  You will ideally have experience using REST and have a certificate of registration.

You will be dedicated to providing excellent customer service to a diverse range of clients and show compassion and empathy for those in housing need.  You will be professional in approach and behaviour.

Accounts Payable & Receivable Officer

You will be responsible for assisting in end to end processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable including:

  • Efficient and accurate data entry
  • Daily receipting & allocation of payments
  • Preparing daily reconciliation
  • Refunds & adjustments
  • Debtor follow up of overdue accounts
  • Back up support for the payroll function

Who we are looking for:

This role is varied and requires a person who has:

  • Extensive knowledge of end to end accounts payable and receivable
  • A high level of attention to detail & accuracy
  • Problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • Experience in general ledger reconciliations
  • Organised approach to work, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience in payroll (Meridian), would be an advantage
  • Self-motivated, resilient and results driven

Technical Officer

The role:

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the delivery of the planned maintenance program and modifications including reviewing and approving invoices and variations and conducting inspections
  • Scoping work to be completed
  • Managing the relationship with contractors to rectify incomplete/unsatisfactory work
  • Keeping accurate and timely records and contracts in the relevant systems
  • Complying with WHS obligations and building codes and standards

Who we are looking for:

This role is varied and requires a person who has:

  • Trade qualification and/or contractor’s license
  • NSW Driver’s license
  • White Card
  • Experience working in government or social housing industry is desirable
  • Experience working with disadvantaged tenants an advantage
  • Knowledge of WHS obligations (desirable) and/or training as a WHS representative

Administration Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides general administration support to the Head of Housing Services.
    • Manage incoming and outgoing communication (telephone, electronic, hard copy and in person), ensuring it is responsive, welcoming and effective.
    • Prepares meeting agendas, records and distributes meeting minutes, and maintains files.
    • Confidential and sensitive data is handled with integrity.
    • Performs clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings for the manager.
  • Draft and edit correspondence, communications, presentations and other documents.
  • The job also requires proficiency with office equipment, including computers, photocopiers, telephone systems, faxes and videoconferencing equipment.

 Who we are looking for:

 This role is varied and requires a person who has:

  • Master of organisation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Relevant administration or equivalent experience supporting senior management
  • Experience working in a NFP or community services organisation with a complex client base would be highly regarded
